For the first time this season, I made the trip out to Seymour Speedway. We tried going on the July 4th weekend, but 3 rainouts in a row pushed my debut there until this past weekend.
We made some changes to the car, changing both left side springs. It paid immediate dividends as the car started to turn a lot easier into the corner. I started 10th in the heat and ended up finishing 9th.
I would start 10th in the semi-feature, and after a few laps I was up to the 8th spot. Running the top of the track, I tried to make a move in turn 1, but hooked my left front on Kurt Moeller’s car. I was sent spinning, and collected Martin Kelsey in the process. Both of our cars had extensive damage and couldn’t continue. I would be scored 14th officially out of 15.
Special thanks goes out to JVL for hauling my car to the track & standing in as crew chief while my dad is on vacation.
