Despite Mother Nature’s best efforts, northeast Wisconsin has been able to get a few nights of racing in. Our season has started off well, as we have raced 1 night at 3 different tracks and finished 3rd, 5th and 6th in the feature events at Gravity Park Speedway, Luxemburg Speedway and 141 Speedway respectively.
Not much has changed for our program this year, we’re running our 2015 Madman Chassis for the 2nd season with a few tweaks to our setup from the end of the 2018 season in hopes of securing our first feature win with the car.
Last season was the first season in which we did not capture a feature win since the 2012 campaign. However, we had a very strong year ending up with 15 top-5 feature finishes in only 22 nights of racing, with two of those nights running a borrowed car after our bad wreck in the middle of the season at The Hill Raceway.
This season we are not running anywhere for a championship, focusing on having fun and finding a setup that can propel us to the winner’s circle again. For the most part we’ll be at Luxemburg Speedway on Friday nights with appearances at 141 Speedway and The Hill Raceway on occasion. With Gravity Park and Outagamie Speedway also running on Friday nights, we’ll try to get to those tracks on nights that Luxemburg is forced to cancel or is not scheduled to race.
A big thank you goes out to all of the sponsors we have returning for the 2019 season: Gnome Games, Swift Springs, Vlies Custom Race Car Bodies, Jet Finishing and Woodwork, Jerovetz Motorsports Shock Service, Outback Tavern, Nick’s Carquest, Demon Race Engines, Kroll Racing Fabrication and 1330 Wraps.
