We took the trip up to Sturgeon Bay on Saturday evening for the 2nd annual Nathan Bouche Memorial at Thunderhill Raceway. Everyone made the show in the sport mod division, and I started 20th out of 21 cars on the grid.
I moved up quickly to 15th, following closely behind Jeff Vlies. With the track very black and slick, it was hard to maintain traction through the corners, especially in turn 2.
On the last restart, I could feel my steering wheel starting to come loose. Just trying to hang on toward the end, I ended up finishing in the 17th position.
This week we’ll be running at 141 Speedway, they have shows on both Wednesday and Friday this week.
